Demos van einige songs (Lunacy, Mother of the World, The Seer Returns, The Daughter Brings the Water, A Piece of the Sky) zijn ook op een speciale release te vinden, We Rose from Your Bed with the Sun in Our Head. Ja, schitterende naam voor een plaat, net de nummers die erop staan, net de naam van het vorige album ook: My Father Will Guide Me up a Rope to the Sky. Giras muziek was altijd en wordt steeds meer beïnvloed door drone elementen, lijkt het. Tonen, noten, sounds en clusters worden lang ingehouden, aan-, in- of opgehouden, uitgewerkt, herhaald. Fasen lang, concerten lang. Wat ritmisch alleen stil of langzaam lijkt te zijn ontpopt zich als indrukkwekende spagaat tussen eindeloze harmonische variaties, underground, post-punk, experimentele muziek, minimalisme, dark ambient en noise. Tot de onuitwijkbaare ontploffing.
